Yarra Yerring wines have been on the market since the first release in 1974. After only been with the company for 4 years, the winemaker Sarah Crowe was named ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in 2017 by greatly respected wine critic James Halliday. Yarra Yering wines have always held a special place in winelovers’ hearts, and under Sarah’s strong supervision the winery now has the reputation of one of the leading in the Valley.
Yarra Yering Pinot Noir is silky and elegant but with great tannin structure making it a powerful medium-bodied style. Winemakers use both whole bunches and destemmed fruit contributing to wine’s both silky tannin structure and a great fruit profile. Full of red fruit flavours, this wine surprises us with a subtle Chinese five spice aromas. And although this Pinot is ready to be consumed as soon as you get your hands on it, it will reward you in a few years time if you care to cellar it!
