The grapes for this wine are sourced from a single vineyard in the Entre Cordilleras region of the Curicó Valley, located at 243 meters above sea level. This area enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with long, dry summers and intense sunlight. The high diurnal temperature variation, with cooler evenings, helps maintain natural acidity and enhances the aromatic complexity of the fruit, resulting in elegant wines. The vineyard’s 37-year-old vines are ungrafted, selected from clones of pre-phylloxera rootstock, and thrive in fertile alluvial soils with a clay-loam composition and a stone layer at 80 centimeters depth, allowing the vines to fully express their fruit potential. The vineyard is managed using sustainable agricultural practices, ensuring that the land and its environment are respected and preserved.
The name ‘No es Pituko,’ Chilean slang for ‘it ain’t fancy,’ perfectly captures the essence of this wine. The wine isn’t filtered or fined, resulting in slightly cloudy appearance. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of banana, apple, and pear, complemented by a touch of toasted brioche. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and creamy, yet balanced by a refreshing and fruity finish, making it a truly unique and enjoyable wine.
