Recognised as the ‘King of Chenin,’ Ken Forrester is committed to highlighting South Africa’s prowess in crafting exceptional Chenin Blanc. Despite the grape’s versatility and modest demeanor, Ken reveres it as his favourite, recognising potential misunderstandings about it. Yet, with meticulous attention and ample sunlight, it produces wines of unmatched excellence. Although demanding, the journey of working with Chenin Blanc proves immensely gratifying.
The grapes for the Stained Glass Chenin Blanc underwent wild fermentation and were bottled while still fermenting, following a completely natural process that may result in fine sediment. This sediment serves as a testament to our minimal intervention and the inherent quality of the wine.
