Bottega has a four-century heritage in the wine and grappa industry. Starting in the 17th century, when our ancestors worked the vineyards as tenant farmers, Bottega grappa and liquors have since earned worldwide acclaim and appreciation. Today, Bottega wines and liqueurs have received over 450 awards and accolades and are distributed in more than 160 countries.
Bottega Rose Gold is a Brut rosé sparkling wine made from Pinot Nero grapes. On the right bank of the Po River, in southern Lombardy, lies a region of gently sloping hills with exceptionally favourable climatic and geomorphological conditions for grape cultivation. It features a temperate climate with significant temperature variations, dry winters, and breezy summers.
The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed. The must is then kept in contact with the skins for 24 hours at 5 °C, which enhances the extraction of colour and primary aromas from the grapes. Once the base wine is produced, instead of bottling it directly, it is placed in a large pressurised container. A mixture of yeast and sugar is added to trigger the secondary fermentation, during which the wine begins to develop bubbles (Martinotti method).
Before reaching the market, the wine is aged in the cellar to regain its balance, which may be temporarily disrupted during the bottling process.
Bottega Rose Gold is intense, elegant, and complex, featuring floral and fruity notes of mixed berries, currants, and wild strawberries. It is fresh, delicate, and soft, with a structured body, balanced acidity, and a pleasant, persistent aftertaste.
Food pairing suggestion: Cannellini bean salad.
