The Andeluna winery in Mendoza, Argentina, specifically in the Uco Valle, situated at an altitude of approximately 1300 meters. This altitude inspired the naming of the winery’s 1300 series. The name “Andeluna” is a blend of “Andes” and “Luna” (Spanish for “moon”), representing the estate established in 2005.
The area is characterised not only by its altitude, but also by a great thermal amplitude, cold nights, extreme daily sun, stony, alluvial soils and excellent underground drainage and lack of rain. This makes the area ecologically ideal for the development of a healthy, disease-free vine and allows the grapes to be harvested at the perfect moment of ripening.
To ensure the finest grape quality, the grapes are carefully hand- harvested. The 3-month ageing in oak barriques contributes to the wine’s harmony and balance.
Delicate floral notes reminiscent of violet blossoms, with red plum, followed by the sweetness of ripe strawberries, and the depth of blackberry. On the palate, this wine offers a refreshing and mineral- driven experience. Its texture is impeccably smooth, exuding balance with every sip. As you savour its flavours, you’ll notice a subtle but distinct mineral undertone, adding complexity and depth to the overall tasting experience. This red is a harmonious blend of floral and fruity notes, with a refreshing and mineral nuance that lingers, making it a delightful and well-rounded wine.
