Bottega boasts a four-century-long history in the wine and grappa industry. Since the 17th century, when our forebears tended vineyards as tenant farmers, Bottega grappa and liquors have gained global recognition and admiration.
In 1635, Bottega’s forefather Andrea cultivated vines in one of the world’s most beautiful locations: the hills near Molinetto della Croda in Refrontolo. Initially, Bottega worked as tenant farmers for the Counts of Collalto, but upon gaining their freedom, they began farming their own lands.
Fast forward to 1983, Sandro Bottega took over as the company director, supported by his sister Barbara and brother Stefano. Within a few years, Distilleria Bottega gained recognition due to its innovative distillation system and the reduction of alcohol content in grappa, resulting in a softer and more delicate flavour. In 2007 Distilleria Bottega relocated to Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano, near Conegliano Veneto, 50 km from Venice. The facility is housed in a large 17th-century farmhouse surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards, which has been renovated using state-of-the-art environmental criteria.
Today, Bottega wines and liqueurs have garnered over 450 awards and accolades and are available in more than 160 countries.
If you are looking for a distinct gold prosecco bottle, that’s the one! Bottega Gold is a Prosecco DOC made from Glera grapes. The elegance, freshness, and liveliness of its bubbles reflect the region’s beauty and tradition, with its landscapes shaped by vineyards. The Glera grape cultivation area spans the hilly province of Treviso to the slopes of Valdobbiadene, near the Venetian Prealps. This region experiences long, moderately cold winters and hot, but not sweltering, summers. The vines grow on varied land types with unique soils, exposures, and slopes, contributing to the Prosecco’s nuanced character. The hilly terrain’s significant temperature fluctuations between day and night enhance the development of refined, elegant, and intense aromas.
Bottega Gold has refined notes, featuring fruity aromas of green apples, pear, and citrus fruits, along with floral scents of white flowers, acacia, wisteria, and lily of the valley, complemented by hints of sage and spices in the finish. It is soft, harmonious, and elegant, with a fine body and lively yet balanced acidity.

This prosecco ticks all the boxes! The flavour is crisp and refreshing, ideal for parties or as part of a gift basket. My only small gripe is that it’s a bit pricier than some other options, but it’s worth it for the quality and presentation!
