The founder of Babich Wines, Josip Babich, came to New Zealand from the Dalmatia region, now in Croatia, where the tradition of winemaking reaches 2,500 years of history. His son Peter joined his father in the family business at just 16 years old, later joined by his brother Joe, and eventually passing the business on to Peter’s son David. Since then, the Babich family has made it their passion, livelihood, and future, and three generations of invention, success, and winemaking expertise throughout three superb winemaking regions are there to prove it.

Their wines are distributed all over the world, and Babich believes that they can give back by setting the standard for sustainably grown and produced New Zealand wine for another 100 years and beyond.
