World of Whisky Tasting at Edgbaston

During this tasting, we will explore the world of whisky. We are taking a deep dive into the world of whisky, exploring the following countries: Australia, Japan, Taiwan, India, USA, Canada, and, of course, Scotland. This tasting will be hosted by globe-trotting whisky expert Michael Pendergast.

We will explore the different styles and influences that have crafted different countries’ whisky production, as well as see the different techniques and environments which make all these whiskies unique.

About the host

Michael Pendergast is the Whisky Portfolio Ambassador for Speciality Brands. Having worked in a distillery for nearly a decade, he has a deep understanding of whisky and a fanatic about production as he is the brands themselves. Before distillery work, Michael was a multi-award-winning cocktail bartender and, long before that, an archaeologist! Mikey has spent much time travelling the world’s whisky distilleries from Canada to Japan and a lot in between (the long route, as there aren’t too many in the Pacific Ocean), making him one of THE authorities on the subject.
