Fine Wine Tasting: Premium Tuscany

As the days become shorter and the nights colder, we prepared something special for you this October: an exclusive tasting experience that will transport you to the rolling hills of Tuscany! Immerse yourself in the rich flavours and timeless elegance of premium Tuscan wines, featuring an exceptional selection from the region’s most prestigious vineyards.

Did you know that the origin of winemaking in Tuscany dates back to the 8th century BC?! Over the centuries, the traditions and techniques passed down from the Etruscans have evolved, but the essence of Tuscan winemaking remains deeply rooted in its ancient origins. Today, Tuscany is celebrated worldwide for its exceptional wines, which continue to embody the spirit and history of this remarkable land.

The tasting will be led by our city centre venue manager and Wine Diploma student, Melissa, along with Edgbaston’s manager, Radu, who is on his path to becoming a Master of Wine. Together, they will guide you through the history of Tuscany’s renowned estates, the artistry behind the region’s celebrated Sangiovese grape, and the profound influence of Tuscany’s unique terroir.

During this event, we will explore wines from the top-tier DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) classification, the pinnacle of Italian wine excellence. This classification guarantees the authenticity and superior quality of Tuscany’s most distinguished wines. From the bold Brunellos of Montalcino to the elegant Chianti Classicos, each wine tells the story of its origin, reflecting the perfect harmony between tradition, climate, and the Tuscan soil.
