It’s Greek Wine Month, so we’ve put together this intimate Greek wine tasting and would love to share some amazing bottles with 10 guests!
Greece is extremely diverse in its terroir, climate, and variety of wines. Traditionally famous for its Assyrtiko, born on the island of Santorini, Greece offers so much more. From the well-known Xinomavro, producing powerful and complex reds (often referred to as Greek Nebbiolo) and delicate, fresh rosés, to one of the rarest and most ancient Greek varieties, Mouhtaro, which yields wines full of fruit and spice. And let’s not forget about dessert wines like Vinsanto (not to be confused with Tuscan Vin Santo) – luscious but with crisp acidity, made predominantly from sun-dried Assyrtiko grapes. And this is just scratching the surface!
This tasting will be hosted by Phil, our managing director, and Melissa, the city centre store manager – both well-travelled and extremely knowledgeable. This is a great opportunity not only to try the most interesting Greek wines, but also to learn from the best in the industry.
Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and only 10 places are available as we are opening some premium bottles. So hurry, secure your seat, and get ready to savour the diversity of wines this beautiful country has to offer.
