About the Host
Anna Dunne is the General Manager of Viticulture at Dog Point Vineyard, a family-run organic winery in Marlborough, New Zealand. As the daughter of founders Ivan and Margaret Sutherland, Anna represents the second generation at the estate and plays an active role in both vineyard operations and long-term sustainability efforts. Dog Point—established alongside winemaker James Healy—has built a reputation for expressive, textural wines that reflect the character of the Wairau Valley.
Anna oversees the vineyard’s organic practices, including a strong focus on biodiversity—maintaining orchards, beehives, and native plantings to support soil health and reduce reliance on chemical inputs. Dog Point remains one of the few Marlborough producers to hand-pick all its grapes and is fully certified organic. Anna’s work continues the family’s commitment to honest, low-intervention winemaking with respect for the land.
