This year as an extra celebration of Matthew Jukes’ 100 Best Australian release we are hosting a wine with leading Australian wine writer Matthew Jukes, and Phil Innes the owner of Loki. This dinner will take place in the beautiful Church Suite in the Grand Hotel, where we will enjoy a 5-course meal with 10 pairing wines!

The wines (from Matthew’s private cellar) are some of the highlight wines from the 100 Best over the years, showing back vintages of some of the best of what Australia has to offer. Most of these wines would be £100+ on a restaurant list with the majority of the vintages on show no longer available to purchase on the open market. In this tasting you will get 10 full standard glasses of fine Australian wine to pair with your dishes, to give you a chance to explore the broad range of wines Australia has to offer.

During the tasting Matthew will regale stories from his extensive travels to Australia, whilst talking you through an eye watering range of wines. Matthew has very kindly donated most of these wines making this tasting a complete bargain, a lot of these wines are the last from his cellar, and we won’t be doing a tasting like this again in the future.
