We are delighted to host a Portuguese tasting featuring one of their leading producers, Fladgate. The tasting is hosted by Andre Martins, who leads Fladgate’s new still wine division—the first in the company’s history. Launched this year, this initiative showcases wines from multiple regions across Portugal, and you will have the opportunity to be among the first to sample these new offerings.
The tasting will include five still wines from four distinguished estates and two Port Wines from the renowned houses of Taylor’s and Fonseca. This event aims to highlight the diverse range of styles and flavours that Portugal has to offer and provide a professional insight into Fladgate’s latest venture.
About the Fladgate
Fladgate Estates is a prestigious family-owned company known for its prominent role in the production and distribution of high-quality Port wines. Based in Portugal’s Douro Valley, Fladgate Estates manages some of the most respected and historic Port houses, including Taylor’s, Fonseca, Croft, and Krohn. These brands are renowned for their tradition of crafting fine vintage Ports, aged tawnies, and other Port varieties, maintaining a rich heritage that dates back centuries. For the first time in their history they have invested in non-port wine production, buying three top Estates from around Portugal with the aim of using their skills in Port production to produce world-class non-fortified wines. In addition to their wine operations, Fladgate Estates has expanded into luxury hospitality, offering high-end experiences at their iconic properties, such as the award-winning Yeatman Hotel and the World of Wine (WOW) cultural district in Vila Nova de Gaia.
