We are joined by Ramuntxo, the export Director from Saint Roch a small winery in the super trendy Maury area of South of France.
In 2008, feeling the potential of the Roussillon terroir, the Lafage Family bought the Château Saint Roch. The Lafage family has been growing wine for over two centuries. They saw the area’s potential as one of the biggest for great value and quality wine in Southern France.
Not only is Saint Roch a pioneer for sustainability but also are one of the estates pioneering research to help the region combat the extreme weather conditions they are currently experiencing, with water levels at historic lows, and also pressure with low yield, this research is essential if the region is going to continue to be a world class wine producing region.
Robert Parker said: “Do not underestimate the potential of the Château Saint Roch, where you can find wines of excellent value for money. ”
For the first time ever we will be showing an Orange wine at one of our virtual tastings (don’t worry it is not one of these funky styles) As will as a red and a white from their stunning old vines.
The wines are stunning and genuinely not to be missed.
