Portugal Tasting with Casa Ferreirinha at Edgbaston

We welcome one of the great producers of Portugal, Casa Ferreirinha. The winery was put on the global map due to the legacy of Dona Antonia Ferreira, one of the legendary ladies in wine. Casa Ferreirinha and Ferreira Port is a fascinating story, a homage to the Port Matriarch and one of the most important women in wine history, a narrative that few wine enthusiasts are aware of.

The tasting will be guided by Rui Santil from So Grape the owners of both properties. He will guide us through the history of the Douro’s most famous producers, as well as fast forwarding to the modern day and showcasing non-fortified wines of the Douro which in recent years have put Portugal on the global wine map.

We will finish the tasting with two Ports for the summertime, and show that Port wine is also an ultimate summer drink, and not just reserved for winter!
