Château Oumsiyat is run by a Bou Sleiman family that has preserved its passion and heritage across four generations. Joseph Bou Sleiman has constructed a state-of-the-art winery in Mtein village, where he produces wines that blend elements of both the Old World and the New World. The vineyard spans 78 hectares and is located at an elevation of over 1,000 meters in the picturesque Bekaa Valley, nestled between the Mount Lebanon range the Anti-Lebanon Mountains.

This rosé is made using saignée method. Following a brief period of contact with the grape skins, the juice was separated, giving the juice salmon pink hue. The grape must was then clarified and underwent fermentation within stainless steel tanks, utilising specific yeast strains at carefully regulated temperatures ranging from 14 to 16°C. The wine deliberately skipped the malolactic fermentation stage and was crafted sans any oak impact, culminating in this vibrant and fragrant rosé.

Oumsiyat Soupir is a blend of Syrah, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The rosé has subtle fragrances of peach and cherry, as well as floral notes. It is vibrant and fresh on the palate, with elevated notes of red berries, cherry, and lime. With its crisp and fruity character, it is an ideal choice for leisurely sipping during the summer months.

Food pairing suggestion: Hot-smoked sea trout with burnt lemon yoghurt.
